Breaking:Police Parade 123 Suspected internet fraudsters in Delta

Delta state Police Command on Wednesday paraded 123 internet fraudsters at the Ekpan Police Divisional Headquarters Ekpan Uvwie local government area of Delta State.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe told Journalists that the suspected internet fraudsters popularly known as HK group were arrested by soldiers of 3 battalion Nigeria army at the weekend and handed over to the police at Ekpan .

The Police Public Relations officer ,PPRO stated that the suspected internet fraudsters were arrested at the popular Army Estate, Effurun .

He said after interrogation with the suspects,the police discovered that among them were two chairmen who recruited the boys between the ages of 17 and 25 into the HK training school after deceiving some of them that they are into forex training .
Others were lured into it because they wants to get rich .

He disclosed that some of the suspects have been in the HK training school for over three months without contacting their parents .
” I wonder why parents will not report to the police that their child is missing ,most of these issues are caused by poor parenting” he stated .

He revealed that One of the suspects used the laptop given to him to defraud unsuspected victims to chat with his mother and disclosed where they are camped in the HK “Hustle Kingdom” school ( a cybercriminal training network school) at Army estate.
“They maltreat the trainees,seized their phones as soon as they are into the school ,feed them once a day,locked them inside the building”he said.

Edafe disclosed that the suspected internet fraudsters came from different parts of the country including Kaduna, Kwara,Lagos ,Anambra , kogi and Benue .

He also disclosed that the army arrested 4 drivers who were to carry the suspects to another location not knowing that they were attempting to escape out of the Army Estate
The divers were released after the police found out that they know nothing about the suspects mission.

He revealed that the 123 suspected internet fraudsters will be charged to court today ( Wednesday).
It will be recalled that armed military operatives stormed the HK school and arrested over one hundred of the suspects in the early hours of Saturday.
