The Executive Chairman of Warri South Local Government Council, Hon Isaac Weyinmi Agbateyiniro has canvassed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori.
This was contained in the key note address of the Warri South Local Government Council boss during the e – registration of All Progressive Congress ( APC) members in Warri South Local Government Area at Rice Farm Esisi Road, Warri on Monday 2nd June, 2025.
He gladly noted that the integration of the new and old party members has made Warri South, a no opposition local government area” there is no other lion in the jungle during elections in Warri South Local Government Area. All the lions are here.” he added
The Warri South Local Government Council boss was obviously overwhelmed with the huge turnout of party members to the event as he charged members of the party to replicate this with their supporters and followers in the 2027 general elections urging them to vote for President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori all the way in 2027 , saying that ” anything short of this will not be accepted by the party leadership in Warri South Local Government Area.
Agbateyiniro who expressed delight over the merger of former Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) and APC members in the local government area, urged those present at the event to carry the message of the integration to the grass roots and ensure that the e – registration of party members is one hundred percent successful. ” What we are doing here today has been done in Asaba . We are localizing it here.
” If you are not registered as an APC member, then you are not an APC member yet ” he added
Agbateyiniro also disclosed that Governor Oborevwori will be in Warri on Wednesday 3rd June, 2025 just as he urged members of the party to turn in enmass to give Governor Oborevwori a rousy welcome during the visit.
Agbateyiniro has earlier remarked that Governor Oborevwori and other PDP stakeholders mass defection to APC is an idea whose time has come and such all other ideas should give way.
The APC Chairman in Warri South Local Government Area, Hon Maro Owumi, the chairman of former PDP in Warri South Local Government Area, Hon Richard Pessu, the member representing Warri South Constituency I at the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Dr Austin Uroye, the member representing Warri Federal Constituency at the Green Chambers of the National Assembly, Chief Thomas Eritoretomi and other notable party members also spoke in solidarity of the integration at the epoch making event.
A member of APC in Okere Ward, Hon Prince Austin Ejegi spoke to our correspondent shortly after the event as he remarked that the event was a huge success.
Another party stalwart in Bowen Ward , Nze Francis Onuora also spoke in the same vein.
