Abe I , Igala Monarch Pledge Support For Oborevwori’s Security Agenda

HRM Dr Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso ( JP) OON Abe I the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom and the monarch of Igala Kingdom in Kogi State represented by HRH Dr Salifu Akoji Anthony (the Oga Ata / Onu Igala , Delta State) have pledged their support for the security agenda of Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori in Uvwie Local Government Area.

This was contained in their separate addresses during the maiden visit of Igala indigenes in Uvwie, Warri South Local Government areas and environs to the highly esteemed Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom at the posh palace of the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom GRA Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area on Tuesday 6th May , 2025 .

The Igala monarch in his address at the historic event , stated among other things that: ” I want to assure you that
security is a top priority in our agenda and I pledge to work tirelessly to ensure that your kingdom remains a place of peace and prosperity ” he added
The Oga Ata/ Onu Igala Delta State then called on his people to join hands with the people of Uvwie to make the local government area where everyone can live without fear .
” I must appreciate the Executive Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Rt Hon Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori for his great strive in infrastructural development, pragmatism in security, investment in education as well as other sectors of the state economy. ” he added.
The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom in his response also lauded Governor Oborevwori for his laudable achievements particularly in the area of security so far in the state.
The Uvwie monarch gladly and proudly informed his royal guests that security has been one of his cardinal agenda on ascension to the throne over 17 years ago
While further disclosing that the palace has a security committee that is comprised of non indigenes , he requested that the Igala people should recommend a indigene of Igala for the committee.
The epoch making event, featured traditional dances of Igala women and Eghweraye ( mothers in Uvwie Kingdom) .
