—–Commiserates with Kano team over loss of 21 athletes
The Special Adviser to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Community Development, Amb Dr. Toyin Agbolaya, has congratulated Team Delta for emerging overall champions at the recently concluded National Sports Festival in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Dr. Agbolaya praised Team Delta for winning the National Sports Festival for the 5th straight time out of the 22nd editions organized so far.
The Delta Governor’s Special Adviser commended Team Delta for securing 122 gold, 96 silver, and 105 bronze medals, totaling 323 medals to retain the title they won in 2022.
He congratulated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, the team officials, and all who participated in the competition.
Dr. Agbolaya also expressed deep pain over the unfortunate crash that involved the Kano team bus, which led to the loss of over 20 athletes’ lives in Kano before they reached their destination.

Dr. Agbolaya extends his condolences to the entire Kano State team and their officials, praying God to grant the families fortitude to bear the loss.
