The Unuevworo of Uvwie Kingdom, High Chief Hope Akasa (JP) has embarked on self help project on the rehabilitation of the earth road on NEPA Line ( also Known as Unuevworo) Road in Alaka Quarters, Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area.
Tippers of mudsand were seen on the said road by our correspondent at the time of filing this report.
Akasa who is the highest traditional chief in Uvwie Kingdom explained that he decided to embarked on the project in order to make it motorable just as he emphasized that the road is an important link between ever busy Effurun/ Sapele Road and Petroleum Training Institute ( PTI ) Road Effurn and that the primary health care center in the area is also located along the Unuevworo Of Uvwie Road.
” Most often this road as eased traffic hold-ups on PTI Road by Effurun Market during market days ” he added.
Akasa however appealed to Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori for the construction of the road considering its importance.
Akasa identified flooding as a problem facing the area. He therefore appealed for the construction of a drainage system in the area.
He further appealed for the installation of street lights on the road in order to boost security and socio- economic life of the all important road.
