In a renewed call for unity and strategic repositioning, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Aniocha South Local Government Area convened on Sunday at the Elumelu Hall, council premises, Ogwashi-Uku, for a high-level meeting aimed at strengthening the party’s structure and advancing its developmental vision.
Addressing the gathering, the Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government, Hon. (Pastor) Jude Chukwunwike , urged party leaders, stakeholders, and faithful to remain united in defending the values of the APC.
He stressed the importance of strategic collaboration in line with the “Renewed Hope” agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the MORE Agenda of Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
“The time has come for us as a party to unite more than ever before,” Chukwunwike declared. “We must stand firmly for the ideals of the APC and key into the Renewed Hope vision. With our collective support, government at all levels can deliver effectively on its promises of economic transformation, improved security, and good governance.”
The council chairman also welcomed recent political alignments, including mergers between APC and former PDP members, describing the development as a strategic move toward building a more formidable political force.
“These political marriages are not just timely, they signal a new era where service to the people and grassroots empowerment will take center stage,” he said. “Together, we can drive a more inspiring and prosperous future for all.”
The meeting ended with a renewed pledge of loyalty by party members and a strong commitment to grassroots mobilization and party growth ahead of future political engagements.
Dignitaries in attendance included Hon. Ijeoma Smart Ufoh , Commissioner for Technical Education, Pastor Nobert Sochukwu, Aniocha South APC chairman; Hon Patricia Ekwutozam Adolue , Vice Chairman, Aniocha South LGA, Hon. Tony Ide Nwaka, former council chairman and two-time commissioner and Hon. Emmanuel Sorokwu , former Council chairman and Executive Assistant to the Governor.
Others are Prince S.K. Mordi, State APC Treasurer; Hon. Collins Iwebunor, Executive Director, ICT, Delta State Board of Internal Revenue, Hon. Leonard Nzemeke , Leader, Aniocha South Legislative Arm and Hon. Prince Tony K Ebube , Secretary to the Local Government.
Also at the meeting were Sir Peter Okwe , former PDP LGA chairman, Sir Abu Ndekwu, Mrs. Eunice Nwoko, APC LGA Women Leader.
Party stalwarts at the meeting present were former House of Assembly aspirant, Dennis Nwanokwai Esq. , Polycarp Kachikwu, Councilors, former Supervisory Councilors for Agriculture, Mr. Ukah Stephen , ward chairmen and several state and local government appointees.
