Chairman of Bomadi Local Government, Hon Dagidi Andaye, has reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of the elderly and persons with disabilities in the area.
This he demonstrated as over 500 indigenes of Bomadi received cash and packaged rice during the monthly Bomadi Elderly Citizens Empowerment Programme (BECEP).
Hon Andaye while addressing the people of Bomadi particularly the elderly and people with Disabilities said the monthly gesture is aimed at alleviating poverty and hunger in the local Government Area.
While reiterating his commitment to the welfare of the elderly and persons with disabilities, the Bomadi local government , the chairman stated that the initiative is in line with the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu and MORE Agenda of Right Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
Hon. Andaye revealed that the monthly stipend is for the elderly and persons with disabilities from the 10 wards in Bomadi local government area.
He appealed to the beneficiaries to continue to support the APC led government in the state and National level in order to attract more development to the area .
Hon Andaye pledged to continue with the empowerment programme so as to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged in the area.
The Bomadi council Boss,Hon Andaye touched by the number of Persons in need of financial assistance presented more cash to support them,stressing that the youths among them will be empowered with skills acquisition programme .
Some of the beneficiaries thanked the Bomadi council chairman Hon Dagidi Andaye for the gesture ,saying he is the first council chairman to provide monthly welfare for the elderly and persons with disabilities in the area .
They prayed to God to continue to bless and protect Hon. Andaye ,his family and his executive.
The Beneficiaries also pledged their continued support to the Oborewvori led administration.
