 The Bomadi Local Government Council chairman Hon Dagidi Andaye has  presented a  budget estimate of ₦21,725,974,872.29 (Twenty-One Billion, Seven Hundred and Twenty-Five Million, Nine Hundred and Seventy-Four Thousand, Eight Hundred and Seventy-Two Naira, Twenty-Nine Kobo) for the 2026 fiscal year.

 

Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye made the presentation of the budget on  Thursday to the  legislative arm at the Legislative Complex in Bomadi .

Titled “The Budget of Transformation,” Hon. Andaye emphasized that this fiscal plan reflects the administration’s commitment to economic development and improved welfare for the people of Bomadi. He stated that the budget aims to accelerate development through responsible governance and policies that meet the community’s needs.

The 2026 budget represents a 14.57% decrease from the previous year’s budget of ₦24,892,267,999.09 (Twenty-Four Billion, Eight Hundred and Ninety-Two Million, Two Hundred and Sixty-Seven Thousand, Nine Hundred and Ninety-Nine Naira, Nine Kobo).

In terms of allocations, ₦13,206,000,000 (Thirteen Billion, Two Hundred and Six Million Naira), which accounts for 60.78% of the total budget, is designated for capital expenditure.

Meanwhile, ₦8,519,974,872.29 (Eight Billion, Five Hundred and Nineteen Million, Nine Hundred and Seventy-Four Thousand, Eight Hundred and Seventy-Two Naira, Twenty-Nine Kobo) has been earmarked for recurrent expenditure, representing 39.22% of the overall budget.

Hon. Andaye outlined key priority areas targeted for development in 2026, including:

– Infrastructure Development
– Social Welfare and Community Development
– Health Sector Improvement
– Education Development
– Security and Council Resolutions

Responding to the presentation, the Leader of the Bomadi Legislative Arm, Rt. Hon. Wurukeseiye Doubra, expressed gratitude to the Council Chairman for the well-articulated budget proposal.

 

He assured that the legislative body would conduct a thorough review and provide expedited scrutiny to the budget document to further improve the lives of the Bomadi people.
