The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government,Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye has been selected as the Best Performing Local Government Chairman of Nigeria for 2025 by Time Africa Magazine.
This prestigious award recognizes his outstanding commitment to service, visionary leadership, and transformative governance in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State.
Under his leadership, Bomadi has witnessed significant improvements in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and community empowerment. Some notable achievements include Infrastructure Development: Renovation of the Chairman’s Lodge, construction of residential buildings, connection of Bomadi to the National Grid, Bomadi Elderly Citizens Empowerment Programme, Skill Acquisition and Empowerment Programme, as well as Empowerment for Persons with Disabilities.
Others are Provision of furniture and electrical equipment for the Bomadi General Hospital, disease surveillance programs, Educational materials for primary school pupils, reactivation of vocation centers, Inauguration of the Bomadi Local Government Security/Advisory Council and brokering peace accords between communities.
The award ceremony will take place on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the National Merit Award House Abuja
