Counseling Association Of Nigeria , CASSON Delta State Chapter has been commended for its laudable achievements so far by the National President of the association, Professor Umar Malami Tambawal and other highly placed Nigerians .
The commendations were made during the Delta State Chapter of CASSON annual conference at College of Education Mosogar, Ethiope West Local Government Area on Tuesday 11th March, 2025.
Professor Umar Malami Tambawal who was ably represented by the National Financial Secretary of the association Dr Moses Ossai in his key note address at the epoch making event, commended CASSON under the leadership of Dr ( Mrs ) Edna Abibetu Abidde for hosting an international conference of the association in Effurun Uvwie Local Government in 2024 and for producing key officials of CASSON in the past and present administrations of the association at the national level.
” It is also on record that Delta State Chapter of CASSON won the trophy for the best performing state in counseling activities in Nigeria for three consecutive years from 2021-2023 .
” Given these solid records , you will agree with me that the Delta State Chapter of CASSON is a shinning star in the history of the association in Nigeria. Please, keep it up. Professor Tambawal who is the Vice Chancellor Shehu Shagari University of Education, Sokoto added.
The Provost of College of Education Mosogar, Dr Israel Imide who was representated by the Deputy Provost of the College, Dr Nathaniel Ethel, the Provost of College of Education Warri, Dr Dickson Onovwakpoma Oyovwi who was representated by the Deputy Provost of College of Education Warri, Dr Moses Umukoro among others were also full of praises for CASSON Delta State Chapter for its laudable achievements so far just they also lauded CASSON Delta State Chapter for the theme of the Delta State annual conference: ‘ Counseling For Skill Acquisition And Entrepreneurial Education For National Development ‘ as they remarked that it is timely.
All those who spoke, emphasized the importance of counseling in human endeavors.
The Chairman of CASSON Delta State Chapter, Dr Mrs Edna Abibetu Abidde had earlier in her key note address, among other things, explained that ” This state conference serves as a critical forum to our local challenges, celebrate our successes, and strategize for the future”
The Deputy Provost of College of Education Warri , Dr Moses Umukoro, Senator ( Chief) Ighoyota Amori, the Provost of College of Education Mosogar, Dr Israel Imide and Executive Chairman of Ethiope West Local Government Council, Hon Chris Onogba were honoured with awards of excellence for their huge support for the Delta State Chapter of CASSON.
High point of the event was the cutting of cake of the conference by the Chairman of the Delta State Chapter of CASSON, Dr Mrs Edna Abibetu Abidde assisted by other distinguished personalities.
The Vice Chairman of CASSON Delta State Comrade ( Mrs ) Rose Elehor Obi who spoke to our correspondent in a media chat shortly after the event expressed delight over the huge success of the conference.
Comrade Akugbene Samuel, Dr Avbenagha Ese Andrew were among eminent personalities spotted at the event.
