The Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Council, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike, has urged the youths of Delta North to rise to the challenge of leadership and take full ownership of their future.
Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting of the Delta North College of Youths in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Pastor Chukwunwike emphasized that the time has come for youths to shed fear, embrace focus, and channel their energy into building a destiny that positions them as the leaders of tomorrow.
“I see in you the courage, determination, and vision of tomorrow’s leaders,” Chukwunwike declared. “Do not wait for opportunities to come knocking. Create them. Project yourselves with excellence, discipline, and resilience. The future you desire is not a distant dream, it is the reward of the actions you take today.”
Joining voices with Pastor Chukwunwike, Hon. Emma Chinye Basim, Chairman of Aniocha North, Hon. Innocent Esewezie, Chairman of Oshimili North, and Rt. Hon. Ndudi Godwin Elumelu, former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, all rallied the youths to stand firm as active participants in shaping the nation’s democracy. They stressed that civic engagement, particularly through continuous voter registration, is the bedrock of political re-engineering and transformative leadership.
Elumelu, while commending the progress in governance across Aniocha/Oshimili, reminded the youths that their voter’s card remains their strongest weapon for influence. “As we prepare for the 2027 elections, tell your people: owning a voter’s card is owning your power. That is the first step in determining the kind of leadership you want and deserve,” he charged.
The leaders further underscored their unflinching support for the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in 2027, describing their leadership as vital for the continued growth of the constituency and the state.
In a keynote address, the coordinator of Delta North College of Youths, Hon. Emeke Asiwe, echoed the collective resolve of youths in the constituency. He affirmed that Delta North youths are ready to champion the cause of civic participation, rallying behind visionary leadership while also taking responsibility for driving voter awareness in their communities.
“Our message is simple: continuous voter registration is as important as the election itself,” Asiwe stressed. “We must not wait until election day to act. The process begins now, and as youths, we will ensure that our people are mobilized, sensitized, and prepared to secure their future through the ballot.”
The event, which drew wide participation and support, ended on a high note with a renewed sense of purpose. With the energy, zeal, and determination demonstrated, the youths of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency are poised not just to follow in the footsteps of today’s leaders, but to redefine leadership for generations to come.
