In a significant effort to bolster primary healthcare in Aniocha South Local Government Area, Executive Chairman Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike launched an intensive eight-day medical outreach on Monday, December 1, 2025.
The ceremony, held at the Council Secretariat, showcases the chairman’s ongoing commitment to community health, a focus that has been a hallmark of his administration since his first term.
Pastor Chukwunwike stated that the outreach aims to bridge healthcare gaps across the 11 federal wards of the LGA. The initiative will provide free medical consultations, screenings, treatments, minor surgeries, health education, and counselling, ensuring vital healthcare services reach underserved communities in a timely manner.
Highlighting the essence of leadership, he emphasized that prioritizing the well-being of the people is fundamental.

The medical outreach is part of Aniocha South’s proactive health strategy, made possible through the support of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration, which enhances local governance through focused healthcare interventions.
Notable figures, including Aniocha South APC Chairman Sir Norbert A. Sochukwudinma, HRM Obi Kikachukwu Afamefune JP representing traditional rulers, and Prince Ifeakanna Jude Emordi, who spoke for the Obi of Ogwashi-Uku, praised the initiative as timely, especially with the upcoming yuletide season. They urged the council to extend the outreach to more remote communities for broader impact.

In her appreciation speech, Vice Chairman Hon. Patricia Ekwutozam Adolue recognized the strong turnout of dignitaries, including traditional rulers, political leaders, council workers, town union presidents, and ward chairmen.
She called for collective support to ensure the outreach’s success across the various wards.
Dignitaries present included Legislative Leader Hon. Leonard Nzemeke and supervisory councillors, alongside APC chieftains and market women representatives.
With this initiative, Pastor Chukwunwike reinforces his leadership ethos, demonstrating responsibility and compassion while committing to the health and welfare of the Aniocha South community.
His administration is dedicated to sustaining and expanding this outreach as a foundational aspect of its agenda, ensuring accessible healthcare for all residents.
