The Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike, has expressed strong optimism that the 2026 Appropriation Bill, after due legislative consideration and passage into law, will reposition the economy of the council and place Aniocha South on the path of sustainable growth, making it an attractive destination for investors.
Pastor Chukwunwike made this known while presenting the 2026 budget draft of income and expenditure, covering both capital and recurrent components, before the legislative arm of the council.

He explained that the proposed budget represents the administration’s unwavering commitment to improving the welfare of the people, consolidating on the gains recorded so far, and reshaping the narrative of governance in Aniocha South.
According to the council chairman, his administration has continued to take significant steps in executing projects that directly respond to the needs, aspirations, wishes and demands of the people. He noted that the strong synergy between the executive and legislative arms of government has further strengthened the delivery of people-oriented programmes and policies across the local government.
Pastor Chukwunwike also emphasized that his administration places a high premium on security, healthcare and the overall welfare of the people, stressing that the protection of lives and property remains a fundamental priority of his government.

He further assured that efforts would be intensified to boost the council’s internally generated revenue, noting that improved revenue generation will help ensure that meaningful developmental projects reach every community within the local government area.
Comparatively, the council boss disclosed that the 2026 proposed budget represents an increase of 21.08 percent over the 2025 fiscal year, reflecting the administration’s determination to expand development and deliver greater dividends of democracy to the people of Aniocha South.
