Delta State Governor, Right Honourable Sheriff Oborevwori has stressed the importance of constructive criticism in refining policies and improving service delivery.
Governor Oborewvori made this call at the opening ceremony of the 6th edition of the Delta State Strategic Communication Workshop held in Asaba, the state capital .
Governor Oborevwori who was represented by the Commissioner for Works, Rural Roads, and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu noted that the workshop’s theme “Strategic Communication in the Digital Age; Leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Digital Tools for Effective Leadership” is apt and timely .
He commended the organizer of DELCOM for the initiative and advised the participants to take the workshop seriously in order to sharpen their communication skills effectively in projecting government policies and programmes.

Senior Political Adviser to Delta State Governor,Chief Ighoyota Amori and Delta State Head of Service Dr. Mininie Oseji lauded the workshop’s relevance in enhancing strategic communication in governance.
Seasoned communication scholars, including Professor Joyce Ogwezi, Dr. Monday Ashibogwu, and Professor Presely Obukoadata, presented papers on leadership brand and strategic communication .
The event drew attendees from the political class, media practitioners, NDLEA officials, personnel of the Nigeria Police Force, and other stakeholders.
