Delta Speaker Hails Super falcon For Winning 10th WAFCON Title

Delta Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has commended the victorious Super Falcons of Nigeria, for again bringing glory to the country by winning 10th WAFCON title against host Morocco.

 

Rt Hon Guwor said he was overwhelmed with joy and pride as he watched the Super Falcons of Nigeria made a remarkable comeback, overcoming a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2 against Morocco at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

 

The Speaker in a statement made available to Journalists by his Chief Press Secretary, CPS, Nkem Nwaeke, attributed the development to the unwavering determination, resilience, and teamwork of the great female football ambassadors.

 

Guwor who is the National Treasurer, Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, expressed warmest congratulations to the Super Falcons of Nigeria on the historic victory.

 

He said the triumph is not only a testament to their exceptional skills on the field but also a shining example of the strength, courage, and spirit of Nigerian women. 

 

According to the Speaker, who is also a striker in the game of football, the team have once again demonstrated that with hard work, dedication, and passion, Nigerians can achieve greatness.

 

Guwor on behalf of the Delta State House of Assembly, commended the coach, technical crew, and each player for their tireless efforts, sacrifices, and commitment to excellence. 

 

Stressing that the victory is a source of pride for the nation, the Speaker described the development as a symbol of hope and inspiration for generations to come.

 

He also noted that the momentous achievement recognizes the impact of women’s football in promoting gender equality, empowerment, and national pride. 

 

According to Guwor, the success serves as a beacon of hope for young girls and women across Nigeria, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and aspirations.

 

“Once again, I congratulate the Super Falcons on this remarkable achievement. May your victory inspire a new generation of footballers and serve as a catalyst for the growth and development of women’s sports in Nigeria”, the Delta Speaker stated.
