The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has predicted greater unity and prosperity in Ogulagha kingdom, Burutu local government area, as the Ebenanawei of the ancient kingdom marks two decades on the throne.
Rt Hon Guwor extended his felicitations to HRM Elder Capt. King Joseph Timiyan, Torububou 1, on the occasion of the 20th coronation anniversary, stating that Ogulagha kingdom has made remarkable progress under the kingship of the revered Monarch, whose towering stature commands attention.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Nkem Nwaeke, the Speaker eulogized the Ebenanawei for his dedication, wisdom, and service to the Ogulagha kingdom and the people of Delta State.
Guwor highlighted the Ebenanawei’s contributions to maintaining peace and unity in the kingdom, fostering development, and promoting the welfare of his subjects as notable milestones worthy of celebration.
“I, on behalf of my constituents and the Delta State Assembly, congratulate His Royal Majesty, Elder Capt. King Joseph Timiyan Torububou 1, on the 20th anniversary as the king of the ancient Ogulagha kingdom.
“Twenty years on the throne is a testament to his leadership, commitment to peace, and promotion of the cultural heritage of the Ogulagha people”, Guwor said.
The Speaker urged the Ebenanawei to continue guiding the Ogulagha kingdom towards greater heights, leveraging his experience and wisdom for the benefit of the people.
He prayed for the king’s good health, long life, and success in all his endeavors, and wished him many more years of fruitful reign over the Ogulagha kingdom.
“The majestic king, whose impressive physique sets him apart and whose presence is as commanding as his authority, requires nothing but the wherewithal to soldier on. My prayer is more of God’s grace to rule over his people,” the Speaker said.
Rt Hon Guwor, who is the National Treasurer, Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, also congratulated the people of Ogulagha on the coronation anniversary and urged them to sustain their support for their royal father.
