Christians have been advised to continue to Use their God given Resources to Develope the church and expand the work of God .
The Bishop of the Oleh Diocese of the Anglican Communion Rt.Rev John Aruakpor gave the Advice during the Diocese of Warri , Ecclesiastical Province of Bendel, church of Nigeria Anglican communion Episcopal Award held at St Stephens Anglican Jakpa Road Effurun in Delta State .
Rt Rev. Aruakpor during a sermon titled the Significance of recognition in the church said it is more blessed for christians to use their God given Resources to serve God .
Bishop Araukpor stated that the church decided to present awards to christians inorder to recognize their support to the growth of the church .
He described the Awardees as Gifts to the church .
At the end of the church service the Episcopal awards ceremony commenced immediately with the presentation of Awards to the awardees.
For his part, the Bishop of the Warri Diocese Rt Rev christian Ide said the essence of the award is to honour men and women who have distinguished themselves in Various fields and made numerous contributions to the growth of the church .
The PDP Governorship candidate Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa state ,Mr Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo ,the chief of Staff to the Delta state Governor ,Rt Hon Ovie Agas , Hon Samuel Mariere ,majority leader of the state House of Assembly Hon Ferguson Onwo were presented with Awards for their support to the church .
Others are Professors from various institutes across the state to include Professors Abraham Georgewill , Akpofure Rim-Rukem, Andy Egwunyenga, and Jacob Snaps.
Awards was also presented to Sir Richard Odibo, sir Elijah Temile , chief Frank Kokori, hon Ramson Onoyake,Chief David Siakpere amongst others .
In their separate Responses the awardees thanked the Warri Anglican communion for the Episcopal awards .
They pledged to continue to support the work of God .
