Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, participated in a high-level inspection tour to review preparations for the forthcoming funeral of the late Chief (Dr.) Sen. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark FR. CON set to begin from tomorrow. The inspection, held in Kiagbodo, Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State, brought together chairmen of various local government councils.
During the tour, Hon. Andaye, who is serving on a triad capacity as Secretary ranging from State committee on security, State committee on entertainment and State committee on Arena for the funeral arrangements, expressed satisfaction with the progress of works being undertaken. He noted that the arrangements being made are geared towards ensuring a fitting tribute to the late Ijaw nationalist and revered leader.
The inspection focused on critical areas, including infrastructure upgrades, security coordination, and logistics within Kiagbodo town. These efforts are aimed at ensuring that the town is adequately prepared to host dignitaries from across Nigeria and beyond who are expected to attend the funeral.
In his remarks, Hon. Andaye emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and order during the funeral activities. He also highlighted the need to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Ijaw nation as a way of honoring the life and legacy of Late Pa Clark. Furthermore, he reiterated the commitment of Bomadi Local Government Council to supporting all arrangements that will ensure a smooth and dignified burial ceremony.

Hon. Andaye urged community members and stakeholders to cooperate fully with the organizing committees to achieve the desired outcome.
