The wife of the Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Council and Coordinator of the Forum of Wives of Local Government Chairmen in Delta State, Mrs. Ella Jude Chukwunwike, has applauded the First Lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her unwavering commitment to the welfare, dignity, and development of the Nigerian girlchild.

Mrs. Chukwunwike made this commendation during a tour of selected secondary schools across Aniocha South Local Government Area, where she distributed sanitary hygiene pads to female students as part of an initiative aimed at promoting menstrual hygiene and supporting the wellbeing of young girls in school.

The schools visited included Ejeme Aniogor Secondary School, Ifite Grammar School Isheagu, Ubulu Okiti Mixed Secondary School, and Ezemu Girls Grammar School Ubulu Uku, among others.

Speaking during the outreach, Mrs. Chukwunwike conveyed the warm regards and goodwill of the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and the First Lady of Delta State, Her Excellency Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori. She noted that their shared commitment to the welfare of the girlchild reflects a deep understanding of the importance of nurturing young girls with the care, dignity, and opportunities they deserve.

According to her, initiatives that support menstrual hygiene are vital in ensuring that young girls remain confident, healthy, and consistent in their educational pursuits.
She emphasized that proper guidance, education, and access to basic hygiene materials are essential in grooming the girlchild to grow into responsible, confident, and productive members of society.

She further encouraged the students to maintain high standards of personal hygiene, self respect, and discipline, while embracing the cultural and moral values that strengthen communities.
Mrs. Chukwunwike also expressed appreciation to the First Ladies for their thoughtful gesture, noting that such interventions not only address immediate needs but also contribute significantly to building the confidence and dignity of young girls during a critical stage of their development.
Teachers and students of the beneficiary schools expressed deep gratitude for the donation of the sanitary pads.

They described the gesture as timely and impactful, offering prayers for the First Lady of Nigeria, the First Lady of Delta State, and Mrs. Chukwunwike for their concern and commitment to the wellbeing of the girlchild.
The outreach formed part of broader efforts to promote health awareness, education, and dignity among young girls, while reinforcing the message that the girlchild deserves support, protection, and opportunities to thrive.
