The Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government , Hon.( Pastor) Jude Chukwunwike, has urged farmers to take full advantage of the Farmers Empowerment Programme to enhance food production and boost the state’s food security.
Speaking to over 100 beneficiaries during the empowerment event, Chukwunwike noted that the initiative spearheaded by his administration is a clear reflection of the government’s genuine commitment to reviving agriculture and ensuring local markets are consistently supplied with affordable, quality produce. He also noted that the programme is a fulfillment of his campaign promise to prioritize agriculture and empower farmers.
“Our goal is simple but powerful — to ensure every household has access to affordable food, grown locally. We must eat what we produce and produce what we eat,” the chairman declared. “This programme equips our farmers with the tools, resources, and support they need to make that goal a reality.”
