Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori has seriously warned against on any unfriendly attitude against Julius Berger, the contractor handling the multi billion naira flyover projects in Uvwie Local Government Area.
Governor Oborevwori handed the warning in his keynote address during the inauguration of a public health centre in Idjakpa Quarters , Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area on Monday 25th September, 2023 .
Governor Oborevwori who was ably represented by the Chairman Delta State Board of Internal Revenue Hon Chief Solomon Okporua Ighrakpata.
He stressed that he will frowned at any unfriendly attitude against Julius Berger ” wether from community heads or youths .”
Governor Oborevwori therefore strongly advised community heads and youths in Uvwie Local Government to give Julius Berger all the necessary support to execute the projects.
He had earlier noted that for Julius Berger to accept to do the projects in Uvwie Local Government Area, was an indication that the area was peaceful.
Governor Oborevwori gave the highly esteemed Uvwie monarch, HRM Dr Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso JP OON Abe 1 and the Executive Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council, Hon Ramson Onoyake the credit for this.
He however stated that ” to whom much is given much is expected. So the onus is on us . We should ensure that the projects starts peacefully and end peacefully.
The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom , Abe 1 and the Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council who spoke earlier also applauded and appreciated Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori for the execution of the projects in Uvwie Local Government Area.
