The Member Representing Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie federal Constituency , Hon Efe Afe has Inaugurated Akporjevughe and Oghene Roads in Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State construction by the Niger Delta Development Commission ,NDDC
Hon Afe enjoined the
Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC)Engr Dr. Emmanuel Audu- Ohwavborua to ensure that the Commission continue to deliver quality projects for the benefit of the people of the Niger Delta region.
Hon Efe Afe commended NDDC and the contractor for doing a good job and thanked residents of the community for giving NDDC and the Contractor the enabling environment to complete the Road Projects .
Hon Afe thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing a Deltan Engr (Dr) Emmanuel Audu- Ohwavborua
as the Acting MD/CEO of the commission.
while revealing that plans for the completion of the East West road has commenced,Hon Afe assured that the projects will stand the test of time and add value to the lives of the people .
Speaking during the inauguration of Akporjevughe, Oghene Roads in Sapele Local Government Area the Acting Managing Director NDDC. Dr. Emmanuel Audu- Ohwavborua who was represented by a Director in NDDC Delta State,Engineer Steve Ogheneare said the drains and culverts constructed in the road projects will help to channel
waters to the nearby river, thereby increasing the life span of the roads .
The Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of the interventionist agency, Engr. Dr Emmanuel Audu-Ohwavborua added that the newly constructed 4km Akporjevughe and 2.5km Oghene roads and drainages both in the Sapele metropolis would improve the economic lives of the people.
He commended Sapele community Youths for their peaceful disposition during the construction work on the roads. which he noted is a link between several of Sapele communities.
Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State alone has benefitted from no fewer than 166 completed and ongoing projects courtesy of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
