Hussey College Warri has emerged as the winner of the Rotary Club of Warri’s inter-secondary school science and mathematics competition, organized under District 9141.
The competition featured six secondary schools from Warri South and Uvwie local government areas of Delta State.
The competing schools included:Hussey College Warri,Don Domingo College Warri,Essi College 2 Warri,
Urhobo College Effurun,the runner-up school, Delta Careers Schools Warri,
Our Lady’s Secondary School Effurun.

Rotary Club of Warri President, Rotarian Chris Iyovwaye represented by Vice President Rotarian Wardah Marshall Mume, stated that the competition aimed to enlighten and help students gain exposure in their academic endeavors.
She added that the competition is part of activities to mark the Rotary’s month of basic education and literacy.
While congratulating the students of Hussey college Warri for emerging winners of the inter secondary school science and mathematics competition , the President commended their teachers for impacting knowledge on the students.
For his part,Past Assistant District Governor Rotarian Andrea Edun emphasized that education is part of Rotary’s core mandate, highlighting the organization’s commitment to putting smiles on people’s faces in their mandate areas

The winning school, Hussey College Warri received One million naira (₦1,000,000,) while the runner-up Urhobo College Effurun received Two hundred and fifty thousand naira (₦250,000)
Don Domingo College Warri ,Essi College 2 Warri , Delta careers schools Warri and Our lady’s secondary school Effurun received consolation prizes.
Rotary club of Warri gave gifts to other students that gave correct answers to questions that those competing could not answer correctly .
Master of wisdom of Hussey College Warri thanked Rotary Club of Warri for organizing the competition .

He noted that team work made them the winner of the competition .
The competition not only recognized academic excellence but also encouraged students to develop their problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
Hussey College Warri’s victory demonstrates its strong academic legacy and commitment to nurturing students’ talents .
