The Vice-Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE), Prof. Okechukwu Onuchukwu, has advised newly admitted Master’s and Postgraduate Diploma students to take their studies seriously, emphasizing the institution’s zero-tolerance policy for examination malpractice and plagiarism.
Prof. Onuchukwu, represented by Prof. Nduka Nwanu, gave the advice during the 2025/2026 Orientation Programme for Postgraduate students of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education in Affiliation with College of Education, Warri, Delta State.
He urged the students to be good Ambassadors of the institution and avoid vices, noting that they are postgraduate students, not undergraduates.
The University Don highlighted the institution’s qualified lecturers and diligent staff, saying serious students have graduated within a year.

Prof. Nduka Nwanu emphasized the importance of proper project writing, warning against plagiarism and excessive use of artificial intelligence (AI)., stressing that only 20 percent of AI is accepted in project writing.

COEWA, Dr. Dickson Oyovwi, revealed that the institution was the first tertiary institution in Warri and have been doing well in impacting knowledge on students ,stressing that because of the school progress they approached Ignatius Ajuru University of Education to commence masters and post graduate diploma programmes in college of education Warri .
He said the institution has graduated 3 sets of students urging the 4th set to work hard and graduate at the scheduled time .
According to the Director of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education,IAUE in College of Education Warri, Dr. Samuel Eshenake, 188 Master’s students and 24 Postgraduate Diploma students were admitted in the 4th set for 2025/2026 Academic session.
He advised Students to register their courses online in the ICT department after payment of school fees and informed them that project supervisors would be assigned to them after first semester examination
The orientation programme featured lectures on ICT and library use, with students pledging to abide by the institution’s rules and regulations.
