Indigenes of Orogun Efe Kingdom in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta have staged a peaceful protest against an alleged forgery of the Jacob Edafe , Thomas Oberhiri and Joseph Eseogu ( Okpara of Unukpo, Okpara of Unukpo and Okpara of Ogwa respectively) .
A spoke person of the protesters Dr Bennis Ese Agbonifo who spoke to newsmen during the protest alleged that the signatures of the Ekparas were forged by some persons in applying for the presentation of staff for the Okpara – Uku from Delta State Government.
She maintained that the Ekparas of Unukpo, Emonu and Ogwa were never consulted nor informed about the application for the staff of office of the Okpara – Uku and that granting the application will be unfair and unjust on the part the concerned Ekparas . ” That is informed this protest” She explained.
Dr Agbonifo who is the President General of Orogun Efe Kingdom then appealed to Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori to ignore the said application in the interest of fair play and justice.
The medical practitioner disclosed that a formal letter was written to Governor Oborevwori by the concerned Ekparas for the investigation of the alleged act of forgery and also calling for apprehension of those behind the alleged criminal act.
