The Director General of the Warri, Uvwie and Environs Special Area Development Agency (WUEDA) Prince Godwin Ejinyere, has announced that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has plans to revamp Delta Broadcasting Service (DBS) Warri to enhance its effectiveness in serving the public.
Ejinyere made this statement on Wednesday during a courtesy visit from members of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), DBS Warri Chapel, at his office in Effurun.
He praised the media for their critical role in informing the public about government activities and acknowledged the significant contributions of DBS Warri in covering the agency’s projects and programs.
He assured the journalists of his ongoing support and cooperation with the NUJ, emphasizing the importance of a collaborative relationship for mutual benefit. “We urge DBS Warri to partner with WUEDA as we work towards enhancing the development of our communities,” he added.
Ejinyere outlined WUEDA’s interventions, which include constructing stormwater drainage channels to alleviate flooding in the area, building new roads, rehabilitating existing ones, and implementing urban renewal and beautification initiatives.

During the visit, Chairman of NUJ DBS Warri Chapel,Comrade John Glover, commended the progress made by WUEDA under Ejinyere’s leadership, describing him as a goal-getter dedicated to improving life for residents of Warri, Uvwie, and surrounding areas.
He also expressed the Union’s desire to strengthen its relationship with the agency to better fulfill their common objectives.
Glover appealed for assistance with critical infrastructure, such as street lighting, to enhance security at the media station’s premises, highlighting the need for a strong partnership between media and development agencies.
The meeting was attended by key WUEDA officials, including Engr. Ofoeyenor Bemigho (Director of Projects and Works), Mr. Appih (Director of Investments), and Mrs. Ochuko Mofe Omagbemi Onyeke (Director of Admin and Finance), alongside other members of the NUJ DBS Warri Chapel.
