The Executive Chairman of Uvwie local government Chief Anthony Ofoni has urged Uvwie Residents to clean their environment daily.
Chief Ofoni made the statement when he was accompanied by his team of environmental taskforce and political aides to monitor this month environmental Sanitation in the Uvwie local government area
The Uvwie council Boss Chief Anthony Ofoni maintained that Uvwie local government area must be kept clean.
He advised residents to avoid dumping refuse indiscriminately .
He also advised residents to ensure strict compliance to his mandate of, “Uvwie must be Clean”.
During the exercise the council evacuated wastes from dump sites close to NNPC Housing Complex road by the bridge and the one at Shaguolor all in Ekpan axis in Uvwie Council Area.
The chairman and his team ensured that the Uvwie roundabout, Ekpan and Other major areas were kept clean .
The exercise saw the participation of members of the Uvwie Council environmental committee Chairman, Hon. Collins Ighrakpata, the Supervisor for Environment, Mr David Enawore, Supervisor for Health, Hon. Raymond Ebimowei and several aides to the Uvwie Council boss.
They underscores Ofoni’s Commitment to a clean, progressive and environmental friendly Uvwie Council Area.
