The Executive Chairman of Uvwie Local Government , Hon. Chief Anthony Onoriode Ofoni, and Leader of OSU, Hon. Chief Solomon Okporua Ighrakpata, have called for increased and sustainable engagement with the people at the grassroots by stakeholders, especially political appointees in Uvwie Local Government Area.
For his part leader of OSU and Chairman, Delta State Board of Internal Revenue Services, Hon. Solomon Okporua Ighrakpata, stressed the urgent need for political appointees in Uvwie Council Area to properly organise themselves under a formidable platform where they can be interacting and strategizing towards ensuring the overwhelming victory of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in Uvwie more than any other Local Government in the state come 2027.
While Commending Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for the massive appointments in Uvwie and his infrastructural footprint in the Council Area, Ighrakpata noted that the people of Uvwie do not have excuse not to deliver Governor Sheriff Oborevwori come 202.
He urged the Uvwie stakeholders, particularly political appointees to be proactive in their engagement, stressing that Uvwie APC leaders are eagerly waiting to be hosted by them as 2027 elections draws closer.
Earlier, the chairman of APC in Uvwie Council Area, Mr. Wilfred Ileleji thanked leaders and all stakeholders for attending the meeting.
