Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III,CFR has received commendation from the Delta State Governor, Right Honourable Sheriff Oborevwori, for his efforts in sustaining peace and security within Warri kingdom.

The Governor gave the commendation during the Warri Kingdom Annual Thanksgiving held at Aghofen, Olu Palace, on Sunday.

Governor Oborevwori, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kingsley Emu, praised the Olu of Warri for expressing gratitude to God on behalf of Iwere land.
The State Governor urged the Olu of Warri ,Ogiame Atuwatse III to continue championing the course of peace in Iwere land .

Governor Oborewvori also highlighted ongoing Infrastructural development in the area, including the completion of 19 bridges and essential access roads, including the trans Ode-Itsekiri road.
The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III his family, and chiefs joyfully danced to the altar, conveying a message of hope that God is set to rewrite the story of Warri kingdom for good.
Ogiame Atuwatse III expressed his faith by stating that He would continue to rejoice in the Lord, praying for blessings of good health and prosperity for the people of Iwere land.

The service featured a sermon by Bishop Bawo Atone who thanked God for His mercy showered on the people of Iwere land , prayers were offered for the Olu of Warri ,Warri kingdom, Delta State, and Nigeria at large .

Meanwhile , Warri kingdom celebrated a spirited Praise Day, attended by various groups and artists who filled the church with uplifting praise and worship.
The Iwere Praise Choir and Joy Praise Band captivated the audience, followed by uplifting performances from Triumphant Baptist Church Ubeji, Ulu Band, Taiwo Atikpekpe, the RCCG Choir, and others.
Chairperson of the Annual Praise and Thanksgiving Committee ,Chief Ebiyemi Omatseye, expressed Her gratitude to the Olu of Warri for the opportunity to serve the kingdom, affirming that their praises and thanks have been received by God.
