Orogun Traders Get Solar powered Borehole, Toilets, Cash

It was jubilation at Orogun market in Ughelli North local government area as the traders celebrated the inauguration of a solar water system and Toilets donated to them by the Chief executive officer of Teabog Nigeria limited Comrade Eseroghene Akporhonor and the member Representing, Ughelli North, Ethiope East and Urhobos in Patani local government areas on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission DESOPADEC, Honourable Sylvester Ovbije.

Speaking while inaugurating the projects the Chairman Ughelli North Local Government ,
Olorogun Jaro Egbo commended the duo for executing the projects and for empowering 100 women with the sum of Fifty thousand naira each.

The elated traders mainly women gathered at the Orogun market square to witness the inauguration of 5 blocks of toilets and solar powered borehole donated by
Chief executive officer of Teabog Nigeria limited Comrade Eseroghene Akporhonor and the member Representing, Ughelli North,Ethiope East and Urhobos in Patani local government area on the Board of the Delta state oil producing areas Development commission DESOPADEC, Honourable Sylvester Ovbije

For the traders and their customers it was a big relief for them as they can easily fetch water from the borehole to wash their goods and also be able to use the toilet when they are pressed .

Chairman of Ughelli North local government, Olorogun Jaro Egbo who stated that water is essential to life thanked Mr Eseroghene Akporhonor and the commissioner representing Ughelli North, Ethiope East and Urhobos in Patani local government area on the board of DESOPADEC, Hon Sylvester Ovbije
for building and donating toilets and solar powered borehole to make traders in Orogun market comfortable while trading .

 

The Ughelli North council Boss stated that not everyone abroad are concerned about spending their money on people’s- oriented projects ,stressing that the traders would be happier going to the market henceforth.

He added that the duo have complimented the efforts of the State Governor Right Honourable Sheriff Oborevwori in attracting development to the grassroot.

The commissioner representing Ughelli North, Ethiope East and Urhobos in Patani local government Area on the board of DESOPADEC, Honourable Sylvester Ovbije  said the idea of the projects was born out of the desire to put smiles on the faces of the traders who most times involved in open defecation.

 

He thanked Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for appointing him as a commissioner in DESOPADEC and pledged to attract more development to the people in his mandate area .

 

 

The Chief executive officer of Teabog Nigeria limited Comrade Eseroghene Akporhonor who is in the US said he decided to collaborate with Hon Sylvester Ovbue inorder to make the traders comfortable during their stay in the market and to provide water for the people living around the market place .

 


Comrade Akporhonor who spoke through his manager Mr Darlington Odogwu thanked Chief Hope Oborevwori and PDP woman leader, ughelli North and senior special Assistant to the Governor on woman mobilization
Mrs Eloho Okpamwa for their support during the execution of the projects .

 

Highpoint of the inauguration of the projects was the presentation of 50 thousand naira each to 100 women in Orogun for them to invest in their business and the presentation of award to the Chief executive officer of Teabog Nigeria limited Comrade Eseroghene Akporhonor and the member Representing Ughelli North Ethiope East and Urhobos in Patani local government areas on the board of DESOPADEC Hon Sylvester Ovbije by Mrs Eloho Okpamwa.

 

The event was attended by the Okparuku of Orogun, HRM Joseph Okorocha Emoghene Osokpa,the president general , Chief Etetakpo Thompson Opone,
Chief Emmanuel Ogunene member Delta State advisory council amongst others.
