Petroleum Training Institute , PTI Effurun, Delta State on Friday 28th October, 2022 honoured the Member Representing Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Federal Constituency , Hon Efe Afe with leadership Award for his Responsive leadership to the people of his Constituency and support to the institution .
It would be recalled that Hon Afe had sponsored a bill seeking to Amend the act establishing the Petroleum Training Institute, PTI following the passage of the Petroleum industry Act (PIA )on the floor of the House of Representatives .
The leadership Award was presented to Hon Efe Afe as part of activities marking the 50th Anniversary of the Petroleum Training Institute , PTI during the institution Gala and Award ceremony .
Also presented with Awards are Chief Frank Kokori , Sir Chris Iwuru (JP), Prof. Isah Abbass, Prof Sunny Iyuke, Engr A. Z. Agoh (OFR) amongst others .
Responding the Member Representing Sapele , Okpe And Uvwie Federal Constituency , Hon Efe Afe thanked the Management and Staff of Petroleum Training Institute , PTI for the honour and pledged to continue to support the institution for it to continue to attain an enviable height .
The Federal lawmaker noted that the Institution had achieved it’s mandate and produced graduates that are the most preferred choices for employment in the oil and Gas industries in Nigeria and abroad.
Earlier the Principal of the Petroleum Training Institute , (PTI) Dr Henry Adimula in his opening remarks during the Gala and Award ceremony lauded Past Principals and Management for their efforts in ensuring that the institution has the state -of -the-art Facilities which has position it as the only one in Sub-Sahara Africa.
