Expectant Mothers in Edjeba community Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State on Thursday received delivery kits from Rotary Club of Edjeba, District 9141.
The President of Rotary club Edjeba Rotarian Nicholas Otoboh while
presenting the delivery kits to the expectant mothers stated that the gesture is part of Rotary International Seven Area of focus, which include Child and Maternal Health Care.
He added that the gesture is aimed to cushion the burden on the pregnant women especially those who cannot afford to purchase delivery kits.
Rotarian Otoboh advised the women to take care of themselves and regularly visit the hospital for checkup so as to avoid complications during delivery.
Earlier Assistant District Governor Rotarian Oisemaye kehinde commended Rotary club of Edjeba for the gesture and informed the women that Rotary club always support the needy in the society as well as caring for pregnant women and newly born babies .
Other Rotarians who spoke during the presentation of the delivery kits including the immediate past President, Rotarian Lawrence Nwadiogbu and the incoming president Rotarian Sunny Oveisi noted that Rotary International stands firm in giving back to the society in form of humanitarian gesture especially in areas of health, as a healthy mother begets a healthy child.
They added that the delivery kits donation to the Edjeba Pregnant women is another way to support the women and put smiles on their faces.

The benefiting pregnant women appreciated Rotary International for the items, saying it would go a long way in reducing the financial burden that accompany child delivery.
