The Rotary Club of Edjeba has proudly inaugurated three renovated classroom blocks and donated chairs and desks to Edjeba College in Warri, underscoring its commitment to enhancing education within the community.
During the inauguration, Rotary International District 9141 Governor, Rotarian Anthony Woghiren, represented by Assistant District Governor for Zone 6, Rotarian Nicholas Otobor, highlighted Rotary’s dedication to supporting educational initiatives. “This gesture reflects our ongoing commitment to promote education in the areas we serve,” Otobor stated.

He expressed commitment to continue attracting further development to Edjeba College, aiming to position it among the top schools in Warri.
He urged students to take good care of the facilities, enabling the club to undertake more projects in the future.
The club’s president, Rotarian Rita Ifolochukwuka Okonkwo, represented by Vice President and Assistant District Governor Designate, Rotarian Sunny Oveisi, explained that the renovation was prompted by the deteriorating condition of the classrooms, which exhibited significant leakages. “We felt compelled to act, ensuring that both students and teachers have a comfortable environment for learning,” he remarked.
Mrs. Enajite Agbateyiniro Vice Principal and representative of Edjeba college Warri lauded Rotary Club of Edjeba for its continuous efforts to enhance the educational experience at the College.
She acknowledged the importance of the earlier donated biology, chemistry, and physics labs, as well as the ICT center and library by the club in making learning engaging and enjoyable for students and staff alike.
The Head Boy of Edjeba College also extended his gratitude, promising that the donated items would be well-utilized and maintained, reflecting the school community’s appreciation for the club’s contributions.
This initiative by the Rotary Club of Edjeba exemplifies their commitment to fostering a supportive and improved educational environment for the future leaders of the community.
