Rotary club of Effurun on Saturday marked it’s 40th Anniversary of Service, fellowship and community impact.
Speaking at the event, the 40th President of the Rotary Club of Effurun , Rotarian Florence Chukwuebuni commended the club members for their commitment to humanity.
Rotarian Chukwuebuni stated that in the past 40 years of the Club’s existence ,the club has been committed to Rotary’s ideals.

She thanked the Chartered members and other Rotarians as well as all the past Presidents for their leadership roles that have taken the club to an enviable height .
Rotarian Florence Chukwuebuni stated that the club would continue to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged ones in their mandate areas.
For his part the Rotary International District 9141 Governor ,Rotarian Chinedu Ikegwuani represented by an Assistant District Governor Rotarian Tobore Ojigho while congratulating members of the club on their 40th Anniversary thanked them for continuously serving himanity
Also speaking a former Rotary International District Governor and the Ovie of Oghara kingdom, HRM Noble Eshemitan, Uku Oghara N’ame, Orefe III , Rotarians Richard Egere and Festus Ogunlaye gave a brief history of the club to the admiration of guests .
They noted that Rotary club of Effurun had embarked on meaningful projects that are in line with Rotary international seven areas of focus to include the building of Abattoir, Vocational Skill acquisition center , provision of water projects amongst others.
Others who spoke included Rotarians Dele Aisekhalaye and Cyril Emanerame stresses their commitment to serve humanity and encouraged non-Rotarians to join Rotary club in order to assist the needy in the society
During the 40th Anniversary of Rotary club of Effurun Mr Fredrick Mosheshe and Dr Vincent Odume were inducted as Rotarians.
They made Cash donations in Dollars to Rotary foundation.
The 40th Anniversary of Rotary Club of Effurun featured award presentations to distinguish Rotarians ,Chartered members, Rotary Club of Effurun best Rotarian of the year 2024/2025 , Rotarians and non Rotarians that supported the club as well as presentation of award to the husband of the president of Rotary Club of Effurun, amongst others .
The celebration also featured Donations towards club community service projects and cutting of the 40th Anniversary cake .
