The Rotary Club of Warri Central, District 9141, has made a charitable contribution to traders at Jigbale Market in Udu Local Government Area, Delta State, by donating 30 umbrellas and 30 aprons.
During the presentation earlier this week, President of the club, Rotarian Efetobore Tobrise highlighted that the initiative aims to alleviate the challenges faced by traders, particularly during harsh weather conditions such as heavy rains and intense heat.
Rotarian Tobrise emphasized that one of Rotary’s core missions is to impact humanity through selfless service.

She noted that this donation aligns with Rotary’s international focus on community and economic empowerment, aiming to bring comfort to local people.
Additionally, she explained that the aprons would help traders safeguard their money and provide them with a means to protect themselves from adverse weather.
Project Chairman of the club , Rotarian Isioma Uwagbai reiterated that the donation was intended to ease the burdens of indigent traders in the market.

Past District 9141 Governor Rotarian Ikponmwosa Ogiemudia and Assistant District Governor of Zone 7, Rotarian Kenneth Iyere, encouraged the traders to use the donated items with care, reaffirming Rotary’s commitment to supporting underprivileged individuals in the community.

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the support, stating that the items would provide relief from the sun and protection from rain, contributing to a more conducive business environment.
