The 47th President of the Rotary Club of Warri, Rotarian Chris Chris lyovwaye has Presented Awards to Rotarians and Non Rotarians for their service to humanity.
Rotarian lyovwaye gave the Awards shortly after he was installed as the President of the club .
Our Correspondent reports that the installation ceremony was kick started with Inauguration water project to some communities in Warri by Rotary international District 9141 Governor Rotarian Anthony Woghiren.
The occasion attracted captains of industry , Past and Present Assistant District Governors ,Rotarians, Chief Okwuokenye Nkenchor as well as some Royal fathers including the Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom,Udurhie I , the Okobaro of Ughievwen Kingdom,Owahwa II amongst others .
The 47th President of the club Rotarian Chris lyovwaye while presenting the awards to the distinguished Rotarians and non Rotarians thanked them for their humanitarian service which is the core ideal of Rotary.
While informing the guests and Rotarians that Rotary club of Warri will this year provide 20 mono water pumps for communities in Warri ,solicit supports to accomplish the project which is in line with the District 9141 Pet projects .
He added that the water
project will not only quench thirst but will save lives, improve sanitation, and restore dignity to families across our Warri area.” I need your support to execute this projects ” he stated

Earlier the immediate Past President of the club Rotarian Regina Edukugho thanked members of the club for their support and urged them to extend same love and cooperation to the newly installed President,Rotarian Chris Iyvowaye .
She revealed that during her tenure the club embarked on meaningful and life saving projects that align with the seven areas of focus of Rotary international.
The Installation chairperson Rotarian Wardah Marshall while commending the immediate Past President for her successful tenure assured that the newly installed President who she described as a dedicated humanitarian would effect transformative change and take the club to a greater height.
The Installation ceremony featured pep talk on the Provision of potable water and the ideals of Rotary by Professor Sunny Awhefeada, induction of New members by the District 9141 Governor Rotarian Anthony Woghiren who had earlier inaugurated mono water pump project at Ugbuwangue and Okere Urhobo communities , Inauguration of Board of Directors for 2025/2026 Rotary year ,Donations towards the execution of the community service projects for the year as well as presentation of Awards to distinguished personalities for their contributions to humanity.
