Rotary club of Warri Metropolis has installed Rotarian Ayemidejo Robert Omeresan as President to pilot the affairs of the club for the next one year.
Rotarian Ayemidejo while thanking members of the club for installing him as their President pledged to improve on the achievements of the club .
The newly installed President said the club has been known for its assistance to kidney failure patients , disclosing that Rotary Club of Warri Metropolis has earmarked two million naira for
Kidney Dialysis section for 40 Patients at the cost of sixty thousand naira per section .
He also revealed that the club would also distribute food and materials to inmates of the Okere correctional center popularly called Okere prison , amongst other projects .
Rotarian Ayemidejo appealed to members of the club , Rotarians from other clubs and friends of Rotary Club of Warri Metropolis to contribute to the successful execution of the projects.
Earlier the immediate past President of Rotary Club of Warri Metropolis Rotarian Ochuko Augustine Onyelumor thanked all members of the club for their support and urged them to extend same support to the newly installed President of the club .
“As my year as President of Rotary Club of Warri Metropolis comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we have shared over the past year. It has been a privilege and honor to serve alongside such dedicated and passionate individuals.
I want to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support, commitment, and enthusiasm throughout this past year. Together, we have accomplished so much, from maternal and child care, joint projects at Ugborijo Primary Health Centre, End Polio joint projects at Enerhen Primary Health Centre, also saving lives at the Warri Central Hospital for Dialysis patients. We also had guests speakers on mental health and membership. It had a meaningful impact on our community and beyond” he stated .
“Your willingness to embrace our club’s mission of “Service Above Self” has been truly inspiring. It is because of your hard work and dedication that we have been able to make a difference in the lives of so many individuals and families, your efforts have not gone unnoticed” Rotarian Onyelumor added .
He pledged to continue to support the new president and team.
The event featured Inauguration of members of the club’s Board of Directors, projects fund raising amongst others.
