The Transformer Team of Rotary International District 9141 on Saturday May 11, 2024 presented some food items to some families of Oko Amakom kingdom, in Oshimili South Local Government Area of Delta state.
Speaking during the donation of the food items tagged “feed a family Project”, the Past District Governor Rotarian Virginia Major, who was represented by the District Governor-Elect of Rotary International District 9141 , Rtn Chinedu Ikegwuani, informed the monarch of Oko Amakom kingdom, the Iyasele Okakwu and his people that Rotary International is concerned about putting smiles on the faces of the needy in the society through the provision of food items, Medical care, amongst others.
District Governor-Elect of Rotary International District 9141 , Rotarian Chinedu Ikegwuani who accompanied the Transformer Team to Oko Amakom kingdom commended the group for the donation, adding that with the present economic challenges in the country the donation was timely.
While presenting the food items which included bags of Rice ,Garri and Beans, Rotarian Adamazi Nkiru Ezenagu said the group decided to provide the food items to some families in Oko Amakom in order to alleviate their sufferings especially with the high cost of food items .
For his part, spokesperson of the monarch of Oko Amakom, Chief Nwanze Nwanji thanked the Transformer Team of Rotary International District 9141 for the donation.
He prayed God to bless all members of the group and urged other good spirited Nigerians to emulate the Transformer Team.
