BOMADI– Councillors in Bomadi Local Government Area are facing accusations of neglecting constituency projects intended for their wards, despite allegedly receiving ₦5 million each in November 2025 for the initiatives.
Stakeholders have raised concerns that instead of returning to their communities to implement meaningful projects, these councillors have initiated an impeachment notice against the Executive Chairman, Hon. Dagidi Andaye.
Sources claim that this impeachment effort is being driven by “fake, self-claimed, and expired leaders” who feel threatened by Hon. Andaye’s leadership and growing influence. Allegedly, these figures were instrumental in the councillors’ election and are now using them to create instability within the local government administration.

Observers suggest that the impeachment proceedings are not motivated by the public’s best interests but are rather aimed at undermining the chairman’s authority and disrupting grassroots governance.
In response to these developments, stakeholders have urged individual wards in Bomadi to consider withdrawing support for councillors who have failed to fulfill their responsibilities and represent the interests of their constituents.
Despite the ongoing tensions, community members believe the councillors and their backers have not succeeded in creating confusion within the council.
The residents of Bomadi are reportedly becoming more aware of these issues and continue to advocate for transparent and accountable leadership.
