APPOINTMENT OF AN EXPERIENCED MAN AS MD/CEO SSDC WILL DEVELOP SOUTH SOUTH GEOPOLITICAL ZONE TO ENVIABLE HEIGHT.
South South Progressive Youths has appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his bold strides over the removal of fuel subsidy as well as the policies put in place to cushion the hardship that was birthed by the subsidy removal .
The group also commended the President for stabilizing the Nations economy as they appealed to him to appoint Chief (Dr) Andi Kayoma Osawota (Esq )as the Managing Director/CEO of the South South Development Commission (SSDC) to reflect more of the even distribution of his appointments and also to reward his party faithful hard work.
The Full text Reads;
We the South South youths under the aegis of South South Progressive Youths SSPY, write to appreciate the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his bold strides over the removal of fuel subsidy and the modalities and the policies put in place to cushion the hardship that was birthed by the subsidy removal as well as stabilizing our economy, and also to appeal for an appointment.
As a tested and trusted leader with your well earned, eminently deserving antecedents; within the short time of your administration, we know you have been putting great polices and strides in the economy impasse that is resultant from past poor economic policies of your predecessors.
We also want to appeal to you with all modesty, that, among the oil bearing six(6) South South States, Delta State have been consistent and steadfast in the oil and gas production (quantum) like Akwa Ibom and others and their political participation at the national level is something most other state’s actors should emulate.
We the south south progressive youths believe in our indefatigable, quintessential and charismatic President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is a born critical thinker, and a resourceful leader to please look into this matter and treat it with the utmost understanding it deserved.
The South South Progressive Youths (SSPY) is comprises of youths from the six States of the South South Geopolitical Zone, who believes in credible leadership, transparency and accountability.
It is on this note we are appealing to Mr President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to appoint one Man who stood firmly along with His Excellency, Most Distinguished Senator Ovie Omo Agege during the presidential and gubernatorial elections, season. This Man work assiduously and accordingly with APC tooth and nail in all strata. This very man is vast with managerial skills, competent with administrative matters, crown with legal ethics for almost 40 years and still counting, his experienced in governance is top notch.
We hereby crave the indulgence of our pragmatic and charismatic President, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to appoint Chief Dr Barr Andi Kayoma Osawota as the Managing Director/CEO of the South South Development Commission (SSDC) to reflect more of the even distribution of his appointments and also to reward his party faithful hard work.
We strongly believe in your Renewed Hope administration Mr President, and keenly relies in your even distribution of appointments to make our great nation greater.
The motion for the vote of confidence on Chief Dr Barr Andi Kayoma Osawota to be appointed as MD SSDC was moved in our last converged on Friday 4th April 2025 at Afuda-Igueben, Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State.
