The Urhobo Equality Movement, (UEM) has appealed to the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces ,Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to appoint their Son ,Chief( Dr) Andi Kayoma Osawota Esq as the Managing Director of the newly created South South Development Commission, SSDC.
The group made the appeal to President Tinubu while addressing newsmen in Warri .
According to them , the Urhobos of Delta Central voted more for APC during the last general elections because they believed in Bola Tinubu’s capacity.

The Urhobo Equality Movement, (UEM) in the spirit of appreciation writes to His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigeria, for the even distribution of his Renewed Hope Agenda to all, by creating the South South Development Commission (SSDC)
It is evident to the blind and audible to deaf the good precedents that, our most, charismatic President have set with his mantra of “Renewed Hope” and strides of this administration.
We will not relent in giving accolades and encomium to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, simply because we know his capacity, sagacity and personality, that was why we invested our votes and resources on his mandate.
It will interest our President to know, that despite our robust contribution to our dear Nation Nigeria, we the Urhobos who are the majority in the thickly populated Niger Delta, are being marginalized and short changed. Hence the Urhobo Equality Movement (UEM) uses this epistle as a medium to beckon to Mr President to direct his light of hope to the Urhobos.
We have so many actors who are most qualified to head most of the federal parastatals and boards.
Men and Women of astute and reputable characters with academic laurels that equates to scholars in the world .
We stood our ground firmly for the Renewed Hope project of Mr President during the electioneering season. It is mainly the Urhobos votes of Delta Central that garnered the votes our President and APC got in Delta State.
As law abiding citizens of Nigeria, well cultured descents of the Urhobo extraction and hopeful followers of Mr President, we therefore register our appeal.
Among all the big brains in Urhobo land presently, we have a distinguished and illustrious son who have all the qualifications to be appointed as the Managing Director of the newly created South South Development Commission (SSDC) in the person of Chief Dr Barr Andi Kayoma Osawota.
Aside from having all the prerequisite academic, professional and other qualifications a robust curriculum vitae to match the position of the MD/CEO, Chief A.K Osawota’s sleeves were rolled up to his shoulders, with his team in support of His Excellency Most Distinguished Senator Ovie Omo Agege during the election of our amiable President.
