Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, the First Lady of Delta State, inaugurated the newly completed Tobore Oborevwori Cottage Hospital on December 2, 2025, in Ughelli North Local Government Area. She hailed the facility as a “beacon of hope, healing, and humanity” for residents.

In her emotionally charged address, the First Lady expressed gratitude for the honor of having the hospital named after her, reflecting on her contributions to the welfare of Deltans.
She commended the local government for its efforts to improve healthcare and praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration for implementing critical reforms, such as significantly reducing dialysis fees and upgrading medical facilities across government hospitals.
Deaconess Oborevwori also highlighted her philanthropic work, noting recent outreach efforts to assist children with special needs and the provision of substantial donations for a mother of triplets.
She assured that similar outreach initiatives will expand to Delta North and Delta South.

Chief Miller Uloho, chairman of the occasion, praised the governor’s leadership qualities and urged community support to ensure the longevity and effectiveness of the new hospital, which is equipped with modern facilities to serve as a referral center for primary healthcare in the area.
Dr. Tega Ighovo, Executive Secretary of the Ughelli North Primary Healthcare Development Agency, confirmed that the hospital is fully equipped with essential medical technologies, including an ambulance, to enhance healthcare delivery in Ughelli North.
This inauguration marks a pivotal moment in the region’s healthcare strategy, reflecting a commitment to improving the overall health and well-being of the community.
