Foremost Urhobo socio – political organization, Urhobo Peoples Integrity Organization (UPIO) has called on Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori to offer self for a second tenure in 2027.
This was contained in a statement issued by UPIO at the Ekpan Uvwie Local Government Area residence of its National president, Dr ( Olorogun) Ebenezer Okorodudu (JP) at the weekend.
In the statement titled: Sheriff Oborevwori Again For 2027′ A Vote of Confidence On His Excellency, Rt Hon Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, The Executive Governor, Delta State : A Call On Him To Continue In His Good Works And Make Himself Available For His Second Tenure In 2027 ‘ signed by Dr( Olorogun)Ebenezer Okorodudu (JP ) and Jerry Eruvbedede, a lawyer ( National President and Secretary respectively) on behalf of the group, made available to newsmen, the statement congratulated Governor Oborevwori for the uncommon strides of his administration in Delta State as the statement noted that the achievements of the governor have culminated in his award as the ‘ Governor of The Year 2024 by This Day, Arise Television and New Telegraph.
The statement listed the undoubtable and laudable achievements of Governor Oborevwori to include: ‘ The rapid infrastructural development of Delta State across the 25 local government areas, the massive transformation of Warri with bridges construction by Julius Berger and maintenance of roads in Effurun and Warri, prompt payment of workers salaries and clearing of arrears of pensions, employment of teachers at the local government government level, completion of projects by previous administration, speedy completion of the Ughelli – Asaba dualization, efficient management of the finances of the state without borrowing , to mention but a few ‘
While praying for God ‘ s protect, good health, long life, wisdom for Governor Oborevwori to deliver his MORE Agenda for the state, the statement stressed that ‘ We also wish to beg you to offer yourself for continuous service in 2027 .’
