The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, HRM Dr. Emmanuel Ekemejewan Sideso Abe I, JP OON attributed the kingdom’s steady development to God’s handiwork during the 2025 Uvwie Praise Day celebration held at his palace.
The monarch expressed gratitude to God for turning the kingdom’s fortunes around, noting that fervent prayers from clergymen played a significant role in this transformation
The Uvwie Monarch who commended the Delta State Governor Right Honorable Sheriff Oborevwori for his zeal in transforming Uvwie and other parts of Delta State equally praised all residents in Uvwie for their contributions to the height the Kingdom has attained so far .
Chairman of Uvwie Local Government, Chief Anthony Ofoni in his welcome address hinted that the Uvwie Praise Day event which coincides with Nigeria’s 65th Independence day celebration is very impactful and sued for its sustainability.
Organizers of the annual Uvwie Praise Day event led by the Chairman Uvwie Indigenous Ministers Forum of Nigeria Bishop Felicia Ileleji harped on the need for unity in the body of Christ so as to remain formidable against evil forces.
Bishop Ileleji thanked all those who contributed to the success of the Uvwie Praise Day, 2025, even as She charged Religious Ministers in the Area to continue to pray for the progress of Uvwie Kingdom.
Delivering the sermon Guest Preacher Archbishop Solomon Gbakara who took his bible text from Psalms 67:11 warned christians against sins of sexual immorality, drinking and idolatry.
The Clergyman emphasized that God is a jealous God who detests it when men give the praises due to Him to other gods.
Others who spoke including the Chairman Delta State Board of Internal Revenue Honorable Solomon Ighrakpata described the Uvwie Praise Day event as a laudable event that unite the Uvwie people.
Different church choristers
including Saint Peters African church, Saint Jude Catholic Church,First Baptist Church,Celestial church, Holy Ghost Dominion, saint John the Baptist Catholic Church Chapel and Choristers from Ijaw Nation ministered in songs.
Pupils from Esedo Primary School also thrilled guests with cultural dance performances at the well attended event.
