HRM Dr Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso JP OON Abe 1 the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom has prayed for the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ) presidential/vice presidential ticket of Atiku/Okowa in 2023 general elections.
This was contained in the traditional ruler’ s prayers during the Annual Uvwie Praise organized by Uvwie Ingenious Ministers Forum of Nigeria at the Ovie of Uvwie Palace GRA Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area on Saturday 1st October, 2022.
He explained that his support for the PDP Atiku/Okowa ticket was due to the tremendous patronage of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for Uvwie Kingdom so far .
The Uvwie monarch listed the Annual five million naira of Governor Okowa ‘ s contribution towards the Uvwie Scholarship Scheme among the numerous good things the governor has done for Uvwie Kingdom
The highly esteemed traditional ruler also remarked that Governor Okowa has great respect for traditional rulers.
The Uvwie monarch expressed optimism that if Governor Okowa becomes the Vice President of Nigeria, he will do more for Uvwie Kingdom.
” We pray for him ( Governor Okowa ) for what he has done and he is doing for Uvwie Kingdom.
” He will continue to go higher. The Atiku/ Okowa ticket will succeed ” he added
The Speaker of the event, Uvwie born retired Deputy Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun ( FUPRE ) Professor John Arubayi in his sermon , urged Uvwie indigenes and others inhabiting Uvwie Kingdom to praise and appreciate God for what He has done, What He is doing and what He is about to do for Uvwie Kingdom.
Arubayi who remarked that Abe 1 is a traditional Rulers that loved God , also remarked that the traditional ruler is a psalmist.
He further noted that the traditional ruler love for the things of God has positively transformed Uvwie Kingdom to greater heights since he ascended the throne.
On his part, the chairman of Uvwie Indigenous Ministers Forum of Nigeria, Pastor Isaac Joseph Ibe in his key note address, listed some of the good things God has done for Uvwie Kingdom since the celebration of the annual event last year to include the completed Delta State Government Effurun Technical College, Effurun, the on going Delta State massive flood control project in Effurun, non traffic holdup at Jakpa Junction Effurun , Building of a Cottage Hospital at Ugborodjo among others.
He also appreciated the highly esteemed Uvwie monarch and the chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council Hon Ramson Onoyake for their immense contributions towards the success of the annual event.
High points of the occasion was a special thanksgiving led by the HRM Dr Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso JP OON Abe 1 the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom and his wife Queen Patricia Sideso JP Nene R ‘ Uvwie Kingdom and prayers for the Uvwie royal family, chiefs , youths of Uvwie Kingdom, 2023 general elections, Delta State , Nigeria among others by ministers of God present at the epoch making event.
