The Voice of Warri Kingdom Women Initiative has called on Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) to negotiate with the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, stressing that “Ugborodo is not the only host community to Chevron.”

According to the statement Mrs. Vivian Mene, President of the initiative, stressed the rights of all Itsekiris to benefit from CNL’s operations and not Ugborodo alone.

The group lamented that in the Past those in the forefront of the negotiations with Chevron hardly spread development to the host communities.
She revealed other communities as host to Chevron to include Abiteye, Otunana, Makaraba, Dibi, Obuekeba, Beresibi, and Ugborodo, as locations for Chevron’s swamp operations across Warri South, Warri South-West, and Warri North Local Government Areas.
The group declared, “Warri kingdom demands fair sharing, and it is only Ogiame Atuwatse III that can fix it for us.
