A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi, has remarked that the just concluded Delta State All Progressive Congress ( APC) held in Asaba the Delta State headquarters on Tuesday 3rd March, 2026 was peaceful and transparent.

He noted that the outcome of the congress was a reflective of the unity and internal democracy that have continued to define the Delta State APC .
He also noted that the consensual outcome of the congress demonstrates the party’s collective resolve to strengthen its structures ahead of 2027 general elections
The immediate past Executive Chairman of Warri South Local Government Council congratulated Hon. Chief Solomon Arenyeka on his emergence as State Chairman of the party at the Delta State Congress .

He commended the orderly dissolution of the outgoing State Executive Committee and praised the immediate past State Chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie, for his leadership and stabilising role during a critical transition period for the party.
Dr. Tidi also congratulated Barr. Valentine Onojeghuo on his re-election as State Publicity Secretary, noting that continuity in communication remains vital at this strategic phase.
He further described the emergence of Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor as State Organising Secretary as a significant boost to the party’s grassroots mobilisation and administrative coordination.
According to him, the charge delivered at the congress by Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, underscored the need for immediate and strategic preparation toward securing electoral victories in 2027. He added that the renewed leadership structure in Delta aligns with the broader national direction under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Dr. Tidi urged all party faithful to rally behind the newly elected State Working Committee, emphasising that unity, discipline and sustained grassroots engagement will be decisive factors in the party’s electoral success.
He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the new leadership in consolidating party cohesion and positioning the Delta APC for comprehensive victory in the next general elections.
