….Calls for Peace, Unity, and Inclusion in Delta APC
Prominent APC chieftain and influential voice in Delta politics, Dr. O’Diakpo Obire, has declared his strong support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, as the nation prepares for the 2027 general elections.
Dr. Obire described President Tinubu as a visionary leader steering Nigeria through essential reforms, and praised Governor Oborevwori for stability, cohesion, and steady progress in Delta State.
“President Tinubu has demonstrated courage and commitment to rebuilding the nation’s economic foundation. Governor Oborevwori has equally shown maturity and focus in steering Delta State forward. I stand firmly behind both leaders as they seek re-election in 2027,” Dr. Obire affirmed.
In a statement released in Abuja by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Dr. Obire called on all leaders within the Ethiope Federal Constituency, particularly Ethiope East LGA leaders, to shelve their swords, embrace peace, and work collectively towards the growth of the party.
He emphasized that the APC can only succeed when all members and leaders prioritize unity, avoid internal conflict, and operate in a spirit of cooperation.
“APC’s strength lies in harmony and collaboration. I urge all leaders in Ethiope Federal Constituency, most importantly Ethiope East, to embrace peace and focus on building the party together,” the statement read.
Dr. Obire urged leaders to begin mobilizing their wards as INEC opens the voter registration process for the 2027 elections, stressing that active participation of eligible voters is crucial to the party’s success.
“It is important that all our wards take advantage of the INEC registration exercise. We must ensure that our supporters are registered, informed, and ready to vote when the elections come,” he added.
Dr. Obire also commended the leadership of Delta APC under the able chairmanship of Elder Omeni Sobotie, describing him as wise, sagacious, and visionary. He lauded Elder Sobotie’s efforts in maintaining party cohesion, promoting discipline, and steering APC toward electoral victories across the state.
Dr. Obire called for greater inclusion within the party’s structure and decision-making processes, emphasizing that every member must feel valued and carried along. He warned that neglecting inclusiveness could weaken APC’s position in Delta State.
“Inclusiveness is key. Every member deserves a sense of belonging. When we operate as one family, we win elections convincingly,” he said.
