The Chairman Taskforce on Environment Delta State Hon Syvelster Oromoni( Snr ) has asserted that the South-South geopolitical zone was for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He made the assertion in a media interaction with news men during the PDP campaign rally in Ogbe-Ijoh , headquarters of Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State on Wednesday 4th January, 2023 .
Oromoni also stated that the huge attendance of members and supporters of PDP to the campaign rally was a testimony to the fact that the local government area was impregnable to other political parties.
He affirmed that the Ijaws in Delta State have endorsed all PDP candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
Oromoni urged dissenting voices among the Ijaws to support the decision of overwhelming Ijaws in Delta State as he stated that the decision was for the overall interest of the Ijaw Nation .
Oromoni who is a native of Ogbe-Ijoh Community appreciated the PDP and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for the patronage of Ijaws in the state.
He therefore expressed optimism that if PDP candidates were elected into power in the general elections , the Ijaws will enjoy more dividends of democracy.
