Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State – The Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Area, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike, extended a warm welcome to the defending champions of Abuedo FC, Ubulu-Uku, at his office in Ogwashi-Uku.
He congratulated the team on their remarkable victory at the recent soccer fiesta organized by Meshach Ifechukwude Odide (MIO) in collaboration with Team Bishop, praising their outstanding performance throughout the competition.
Pastor Chukwunwike highlighted the importance of sports in promoting unity, improving physical fitness, and creating job opportunities while serving as a substantial source of revenue for the government. He emphasized that active participation in sports not only fosters social harmony but also opens doors for athletes to explore greater opportunities beyond their immediate environments.
Encouraging the team to maintain their winning spirit, the Chairman urged them to intensify their preparations for upcoming competitions, representing Aniocha South at both state and national levels.

In a vote of thanks, the team’s coach, Mr. Ozulu Iwelu, along with team captain Mr. Ifeanyi Ofuani, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and support from the local government. They promised to continue working diligently to secure more trophies for their community.
Abuedo FC, Ubulu-Uku, has proven their mettle by securing the championship title for five consecutive years in inter-quarter competitions, solidifying their status as defending champions within both the community and Aniocha South Local Government League.
